After running plastic skid plates that wear out fairly quick or eventually bend up and break, we designed our "Standard" or lightweight aluminum skid plates. When racing gets rough with rocky or extremely abrasive tracks, aluminum sometimes is just not enough. We go the extra step and offer a stainless steel "HD" version of the skid plates as well. They mount with existing screws
